The 2017 Moonlight + Sage Gift Guide
Still making your list and checking it twice? Well, look no further. I’ve put together a list of some of my favorite products that make great gifts for all the soul searchers, light workers, magic makers, spirit junkies and basic witches in your life!
I have several of Doreen's oracle and angel card decks, but I especially love this one because all of the words and artwork are positive and beautiful, while still retaining the integrity and effectiveness of traditional tarot. It comes with a small guidebook that explains the general meaning of each card and walks you through the steps of giving an accurate reading for yourself and others. ($11)
This planner enables you to focus on becoming the best version of yourself on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. It’s designed based on scientific studies to help you improve productivity and happiness. It’s available in a deluxe dated version or an undated version (pictured here) so you can use it any time. But really, what better time to get a planner than right before the new year! ($36)
I’ve gotten several of these as gifts (and I hope to get several more!). Handcrafted in New England, each mug is so unique. I have them with citrine, amethyst and tiger eye stones (pictured here). Truly a special gift for the crystal lover! ($20-24)
I know I shouldn’t play favorites with my bracelets, but there are a few that I’m just obsessed with and wear in pretty much every stack. Blue Apatite is one of them. I’m simply obsessed with this manifestation stone. It deepens meditation and can be used as a dream stone, allowing you to find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable problems. It lifts your spirits and lends a positive outlook and a hopeful attitude. It’s a good one for those with New Year’s resolutions to get in shape, as it also helps with metabolism, appetite and making good food choices. ($65)
This was included in last year’s gift guide and it’s worth bringing back again because I’m absolutely OBSESSED with it. The only time I turn it off is when I leave the house – otherwise, it’s emitting those negative ions into the air all the time. I keep it on my nightstand and now cannot sleep without it! In addition, it comes beautifully packaged. Levoit makes a number of models – the one I have is the Elora. ($34)
Authors Heather Askinosie and Timmi Jandro, co-founders of Energy Muse, do a fantastic job of giving a crystal crash course at the start of the book, followed by a number of easy rituals to help you tune into the earth’s energy and align with your higher self. Whether you are buying for a crystal newbie or someone who has been working with crystals for ages, this book has something for everyone! ($18)
Adaptogens, superfoods and healing botanicals are blended to create six different Moon Dusts from the ever-popular Moon Juice: Power Dust, Spirit Dust, Beauty Dust, Sex Dust, Dream Dust & Brain Dust. The sampler pack comes with two of each blend in a convenient packet that makes it easy to travel with. Sprinkle some in your coffee, milk, water, smoothies, hot chocolate or ice cream (there’s also a Moon Juice cookbook) to nourish body, beauty and consciousness from the inside out. ($35)
I adore Ruby Warrington and her stories in this book about navigating through the “Now Age” in NYC are absolutely hysterical. The easiest way to describe the book: The Basic Witch Handbook! But here’s an excerpt from the “official” description: Set against the backdrop of Ruby Warrington's own transformative path from her dream job as an influential fashion journalist to creating The Numinous, the high-style, high-vibe online magazine about spirituality for modern women, Material Girl, Mystical World invites readers on a colorful journey to discover their own path to personal enlightenment in every area of life, from love, sex and relationships to fashion, beauty, health and wellness. ($15)
Not all essential oils are created equal, and Young Living is the only brand I trust and use. I use these oils every day – to set the tone for my day, to give me a little boost while I’m at work, to cure stomach aches, mild headaches, even cold/flu symptoms. If you know someone who wants to get started with oils or is committed to a healthier 2018, this kit is a great start (and huge value vs. buying them on their own). It comes with 5ml bottles of Frankincense, Lemon Vitality™, Lavender, Melaleuca Alternifolia (tea tree), Peppermint Vitality™ and 5ml blends of Joy™, Purification®, PanAway®, Thieves® Vitality™ and Stress Away™. [Note: You can only purchase if you are a Young Living Essential Rewards member or purchase through someone who is. If you are interested in purchasing, I’d be happy to get you one through my membership account.] ($129)
The ultimate meditation aid, this eye mask has foam padding cut-outs specifically designed to allow you to experience total darkness, even with your eyes open. Blocking all light stimulates the visual cortex nervous system and pineal gland (the pineal gland is at the center of your mind’s eye and triggers psychic sight, as well as higher states of consciousness, intuition and even enlightenment). Place a lapis lazuli crystal on your forehead, slip on the Mindfold and experience next-level meditation. This is also an awesome gift for anyone who suffers from intense headaches or migraines. ($15)
Finally made my way to House of Intuition in LA and picked up one of their Magic Candles. These are crafted with love and intention, lightly scented and dressed with crystals inside. Intentions include Love, Abundance, Success, Home Blessings and many more. The Money candle, pictured here, attracts money, luck and abundance and helps to clear any blockages in your career or finances to increase your money-flow. Because who wouldn't want a windfall in the form of a new job, raise or unexpected inheritance? ($15)
Don’t Forget the Stocking Stuffers!
This sustainably sourced Peruvian Palo Santo is hand wrapped with Ritualcravt's proprietary herb blend and a crystal. In addition to burning Palo Santo to bring blessings into your home or space, you can also use it to cleanse crystals, oracle card decks, pendulums, or any other magical or sacred objects. This is a beautiful healing tool that every Basic Witch needs in her arsenal. ($8)
Handmade in Boston, these journals are perfect for New and Full Moon rituals, manifesting and dream journaling and are small enough to stash in your pocket or small bag. Sold separately ($8) or in a two-pack ($14).
I first learned of these Elixirs at a workshop held at Haus Witch in Salem, where you can also purchase many of SS’s elixirs and essences. One of my favorites is Graces, which is comprised of delicious calming herbs that enable us to relax our muscles, nerves, anxiety and worries so we can see our own inner light. Put a few drops on your tongue or in your water and let the calming effects wash over you (amazing for those hectic days at work). I also love Miss Prism, a gem essence formula that stimulates all chakra points in the body. ($20)
Tap into the happiness, joy and comfort associated with the holiday season all winter long with Christmas Spirit, a warm, spicy, and sweet blend I love diffusing this time of year! ($13.50)
